Every year July 15th SKPS celebrates what is called a Patron’s Day. St. Kuriakose, the heavenly advocate of the Paluthuruthu village and St. Kuriakose Public School, was commemorated as the Patron Saint on this very day. Due to widespread pandemic, the celebrations were limited to social media bringing all of the viewers under the virtual roof of SKPS. In relation to this a short montage, walking us through the virtuous life and death by crucifixion of St. Kuriakose and his mother Julett, was posted via school WhatsApp group and YouTube channel. The video was prepared and presented by Kmr. Nirupama Ann Jose (XI B) and Kmr Niranjana Jose (VII C). We hope that through this video today’s youth would grow into a generation that believes in unfaltering faith and humanity. To make the day more interesting SKPS held a Book Review competition for both English and Malayalam language for classes 5 to 12 wherein all the students participated vibrantly. The champs of the competitions were announced: Fathima Salim P. belonging to Category I (5, 6, 7), of class VI B; Reshma J. Neerakal belonging to Category II (8, 9, 10), of class X C and; Archita B. belonging to Category III (11, 12), of class XI A bagged the 1st position for the Malayalam Book Review Competition. Also the kiddiewinks from classes 1 to 4 participated fervently for Painting/Drawing Competition. Ameya Vivek ( I A), Abhinav T.
