Report on the Grand Reopening Ceremony of St. Kuriakose Public School

The Grand Reopening Ceremony of St. Kuriakose Public School was held with great enthusiasm and solemnity on 2nd June 2025, marking the return of students from UKG and Classes II to XII. The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, parents, teachers, and students.
The event commenced with a prayer song rendered by the School Choir, invoking divine blessings for the academic year ahead. This was followed by a prayer service and a graceful prayer dance, setting a reverent tone for the day.
A vibrant welcome dance was performed by the students, symbolizing joy and renewal. The welcome speech was delivered by Rev. Dr. Bino Cheriyil OSB, the Executive Director of SKPS and Prior of the Vallombrosan Benedictine Congregation, who warmly greeted all attendees and highlighted the school’s vision.
The formal Inauguration and Logo Unveiling was carried out by Smt. A. C. Seena, the Deputy Director of General Education, Government of Kerala. Her presence and insightful address added prestige to the event.
As a token of appreciation, Rev. Dr. Bino Cheriyil OSB honoured the chief guest. The Principal’s Message was then delivered by Rev. Fr. Ajeesh Jose OSB, who presented an analysis of the academic results and expressed his hopes for continued excellence.
The ceremony also included an Award Ceremony, recognizing the outstanding achievements of students in academics and co-curricular activities.
Mrs. Jenny Robin, the PTA President, offered felicitations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between parents and the school for holistic education. The function concluded with a delightful array of cultural programmes, showcasing the talents of the students, and a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Renji Wilson, the Vice Principal, who acknowledged the contributions of everyone who made the event a success.
The Grand Reopening Ceremony was a resounding success, reflecting the spirit and unity of the SKPS community and marking a promising beginning to the new academic year.
