Scholarships

School sponsors students for various one time scholarships.

  1. Sahodaya scholarship achievement test (SSAT) organised by confederation of Kerala sahodaya complexes, a principal’s forum for academic changes. This test is based on NCERT syllabus followed in various classes.

  2. PCM Scholarship exam. This is organized by progressive curriculum management, publisher and distributor of school books. Test is based on separately prepared guide books.

  3. Gate@school examination conducted by Absolute Education and Charitable Trust is an assessment test for students of class I to VII. This test is based on the study material provided for the purpose.

Awards and Scholarships

St. Kuriakose School offers the following awards and scholarships to students of various levels to encourage the performance of students. Students shall strive to achieve these merit scholarships by improving their academic and non-academic performance.

  1. General proficiency – Students who have secured A1 grade in all subjects in all examinations from every class will be awarded with proficiency prizes.
  1. Scholarship – Scholarship is given to the students who have secured highest marks in the CBSE Board examination every year. Since grade is introduced in class X examination, a student who gets A1 grade in all subjects will be awarded with a trophy and a certificate. Students who get merit certificate from CBSE will be given a cash award of Rs. 500 also.
  1. Joby Baby Kurian Memorial Award. –    This is an award instituted by the Bathmats of our late student Joby Baby Kurian. The best out going boy student from class XII is awarded with a trophy, certificate and cash award of Rs. 500/-. The award is based on the  performance in academic, sports, arts and general behaviour.
  1. Best outgoing girl student Award – This is an award instituted by the SKPS Alumni Association for the best outgoing girl student from class XII. This award consists of a trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rs.500/-. The award is based on the performance in academic, sports, arts and general behaviour.
  1. Ramachandran sir memorial award – This is an endowment instituted in memory of our beloved Ramachandran sir who left us on 11th January 2010. The student who secures highest mark in the subject of mathematics in the CBSE board examination in class XII will be awarded with a trophy, certificate and cash award of Rs. 500/- every year.
  1. Tomy Sebastian sir memorial award – This is an endowment instituted in memory of our beloved Tomy Sebastian sir who left us on 1st May 2014. The student who secures highest mark in the subject of English in the CBSE board examination in class XII will be awarded with a trophy, certificate, and cash award of Rs. 500/- every year.
  1. Elizabeth joseph kunnacherry memorial award – This is an endowment instituted in memory of our beloved Elizabeth joseph kunnacherry who studied in class VII and passed away on 11th  July 2011 in an accident. This award is given to the best student in each division of class VII. The students are identified for the best performance in academic, sports, arts, general behaviour and spoken English. These students will be awarded with a trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rs. 1000/-
