At the CBSE Kottayam Sahodaya Science Exhibition, St. Kuriakose Public School, Kaduthuruthi won the overall championship. The first place in working model, still model categories, the individual medals and grades won in recycling, chart, vegetable carving and art craft categories led to the title. Sharon Shaiju, M Harimurali and Ayona Gigi, who made a device that enables hearing through vibration for the hearing impaired, came first for the working model. Parvathy Pradeep, Femi Varghese and Archana Anil, who made pulp from banana fibres and made sanitary napkins, became the champions in the recycling category. The judges said that eco-friendly biodegradable pads will become a part of nature conservation nowadays.
