Occasion: Patron’s Day Celebration & Investiture Ceremony

 

The Patron’s Day Celebration and Investiture Ceremony at St. Kuriakose Public School was conducted with grandeur and reverence on the 15th of July 2025. The programme began with anchoring by Ananthitha, followed by an introduction and a vibrant curtain raiser performance by the School Choir.

The spirit of the event was uplifted with the Patron’s Song and a devotional dance performance. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Renji Wilson, delivered a gracious welcome speech, setting a warm and encouraging tone for the day. The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Bino Cheriyil OSB, Executive Director, SKPS, who inspired the audience with his motivating words. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guests added a touch of tradition and solemnity to the event.

The Investiture Ceremony and Handing Over of the Portfolio Badges followed. Badges were conferred upon the newly elected student leaders by Shri. B. Jayaprakash, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Uzhavoor, and Rev. Fr. Ajeesh Jose OSB, Principal of SKPS.Fr. Severios Thomas, Superior, Mar Gregorios Syrian Orthodox Dayara, Anikkadu, delivered a thoughtful Patron’s Day Message highlighting values, responsibility, and leadership.

Before moving to the cultural segment, the Vote of Thanks was presented by Daze Jenson, the Head Boy, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, parents, and students for their presence and support.

The Cultural Fiesta that followed was a vibrant display of student and teacher talent. Highlights included:

A karaoke song performance by the teachers

A lively dance performance choreographed by Mr. Manoj (Dance Sir)

A solo performance by a Std 1 student featuring a karaoke version of a song from the film Thudaram

A colorful finale dance performance that captured the spirit of celebration

Gratitude was also extended to Mrs. Mercy Cyriac, a respected member of the auxiliary staff. The PTA President, Mrs. Jenny Robin, felicitated the event with kind words of appreciation and encouragement. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and meaningful celebration.
