HASTA LA VISTA 2023
A farewell ceremony was organized at St. Kuriakose Public School for the students of class XII. The blessing ceremony and farewell of the outgoing batch of class XII took place on the afternoon of 9th February 2023. The students of class XI were the hosts and organizers of the function. The day began with a Holy mass for classes X and XII at the Benedictine Vallombrosan monastery that adjoins the school. Prior to the farewell ceremony, a treasure hunt game was played, hosted by Bezalel Stephen, Sharon Shyju and Nia Abraham. The winners of which were the members of the team led by Gautam Ramesh. The ceremony began at 1 PM. The stage was lit up with mesmerizing lights and decorations for the function. The function began with a prayer followed by messages from the school manager Rev. Fr. Bino Jacob Cheriyil OSB and the principal Rev. Fr. Joby Kurian Panoorayil OSB. In the intervals between and after these messages, Bhavyalakshmi A of class XII A and Arshia Liz Thomas of class XII B shared some of their beautiful memories with us.
Then, a melodic duet by Adhvika E Surjith and Liz Maria Rajesh marked the beginning of the cultural activities. Before the next cultural activity, Lebin Binoy of class XII C also shared some of his fond memories of SKPS.
Next Mrs. Prasanna Kumari conveyed her memories and views on the outgoing batch and wished them whole-heartedly a bright and successful life.
Then commenced the Hasta La Vista Game Zone. A time of entertainment in the form of games, hosted by main host Bezalel Stephen and co-hosts Ann Mariya Mathews, Jesin Leesa Lijo and Thomas Cyriac. This came to an exuberant end with Kiran Benny Chacko and Parvathy P Pradeep being crowned Mr. and Mrs. SKPS respectively. This was quickly followed up with an eccentric dance performed by the students of class XI, marking the end of the cultural activities.
In the end, a marvellous heart-touching presentation of their final year memories was showcased, which made them very emotional. Our beloved vice principal Babu Joseph Sir expressed his gratitude and blessed the outgoing batch of students. This was followed by a procession involving every teacher and student of Class XII where the teachers formed a line with all the students queuing to receive their blessings in a very emotional moment. The program approached its photo finish by taking group photos for the last time in class XII. The students of both class XI and class XII and some teachers participated in one last dance-off which officially ended at 4:30 pm
