Financial literacy workshop conducted by CBSE at SKPS: The financial literacy workshop proposed by CBSE was conducted at St Kuriakose Public School, Kaduthuruthy on Friday. It discusses understanding and effectively using different financial skills including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. All the staff associated with the school got information about managing their money, paying bills, and planning for retirement. CBSE has taken the initiative to sensitize teachers across the country on the basics of financial literacy and the use of digital tools that are relevant in the current scenario. The centre for excellence (COE) conducted the session offline mode. St Kuriakose Public School was the hub for the same. A total of 170 teachers participated in the programme. The session focused to create awareness about essential financial planning, how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds, etc. This helped educators stay updated to plan their future in a better way and also disseminate their learning and extracted experience with the students so that they deal with the finances vigilantly. The session began by welcoming the guest speaker and the participants. The Principal of Babuji School placed the heartiest gratitude on behalf of the entire family.Fr Joby Pannoorayil OSB presented a memento to the guest speaker. The key takeaways for the teachers were: Importance of SIPs/ shares/ mutual funds Investment and importance of life insurance and term plans How to deal with funds and finances Where and where not to invest Cyber Fraud and phishing.
